Aachen review: what do the results mean for Britain ahead of WEG? [H&H VIP]
As Germany dominates in all three disciplines at Aachen, could this signal disappointment for Britain at next month's World Equestrian Games?
Michael Eilberg is a British dressage rider who has competed on championship teams for Britain on numerous occasions.
With Half Moon Delphi, Michael Eilberg won team bronze at the 2013 European Championships and silver at the 2014 World Equestrian Games, before taking home team silver from the 2015 European Championships on Marakov.
Michael also had great success with the outstanding Woodlander Farouche before she was retired from sport. The pair won the FEI World Breeding Championships for Young Dressage Horses in 2011 and 2012, the first time a mare has ever done so.
After finishing his academic education as a teenager, Michael went to work with showjumper Tim Stockdale, but switched to pursue dressage in his early 20s.
Michael is the son of Ferdi Eilberg, a dressage medallist and renowned trainer, and brother to Maria Eilberg, an international grand prix rider herself. He is married to dressage rider Maya, and the pair have two children.
