Ireland's Bertram Allen wins speed leg of jumping World Cup final
A 19-year-old rider and a 19-year-old horse took the top two places in the first round of the World Cup jumping final tonight

The Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on 16-20 April. The first round will take place at 7.05pm local time (4.50pm British time) on Wednesday 17 April, followed by the second round at 6.50pm (on Thursday 18 April and the final round at 3.45pm on Saturday 20 April. Riyadh is two hours ahead of British Summer Time.

The defending World Cup jumping champion is Sweden’s Henrik von Eckermann, who won in Omaha, Nebraska riding the brilliant King Edward.
British riders Ben Maher, Scott Brash, Robert Whitaker and Harry Charles have all qualified for the 2024 final.
