Alice Plunkett
Alice Plunkett (Fox-Pitt) is a presenter for Channel 4 Racing and is married to top event rider William Fox-Pitt.
Alice is a former eventer who represented Britain at the young rider eventing Europeans, rode clear around Badminton Horse Trials and was a successful National Hunt jockey.
She is the only woman to have ridden at both Badminton Horse Trials and around the Grand National course at Aintree. Alice was 19 when she contested in the Fox Hunters race over the famous National fences, finishing 14th on Bold King’s Hussar, who was bred by her grandfather.
Alice hung up her competitive riding boots in 2000, although she has taken part in some charity races since her retirement. Alice and William have four children: Oliver, Thomas, Chloe, and Emily.
