    A Lifetime in Dressage NEW

Dr Hilary Clayton is an equestrian, veterinarian, author and researcher. She is known internationally for her ongoing contribution to the understanding of equine biomechanics and the interactions between horse, rider and tack. Her research has included analysis of performance during Olympic dressage competitions. Her findings have guided the development of training practices that enhance the horse’s performance and soundness, and have led to changes in the rules for international competitions. Dr Clayton has competed in many equestrian sports during her lifetime, but she now focuses on dressage and has competed successfully through to grand prix level.

Richard Davison is a four-time Olympian dressage rider (including the 2012 London Olympic Games), six-time British number one in international dressage rider rankings and has been at the forefront of the international dressage world for three decades. The end of 2012 saw him completing his term of office as the British World Class Performance manager. Since taking on the role in 2008, he has been credited for masterminding the strategic plan behind Britain’s most successful period of international successes, resulting in its historic Olympic and European team golds and World Championship medals.

This event will also include a wine reception, interval buffet, book signing and the opportunity to purchase a selection of Dr Clayton’s books.
