Robert Whitaker is expecting his first child with his girlfriend and fellow showjumper Kate Jackaman.
“We’re very excited,” said Robert, 29 – who revealed it was too early to know whether they are expecting a boy or a girl.
The latest addition to the Whitaker dynasty is due in March 2013.
Robert’s parents John and Clare Whitaker are said to be “very happy” about the prospect of becoming grandparents.
Robert’s cousin William Whitaker celebrated the birth of the his first child in February with girlfriend Elisabeth Fredlund – baby Isabella was the first of this new generation of Whitakers.
