Welsh Home Pony International

  • Rebecca Roe headed the Junior Show Jumper of the Year qualifier at Wales and the West’s Home Pony International (19-22 July) on Aroldo.

Rachel Connor set the standard on The Irish Builder, but their time was obliterated by Rebecca on Aroldo, who gained a 5sec margin.

Danielle Willett gave Rebecca a run for her money with the already qualified Gold Harvest, but they were more than 1sec behind, so the second Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) ticket went to The Irish Builder.

Cardigan-based 14-year-old Carian Scudamore claimed the final HOYS place with Cappagh Supreme.

England dominated the team competitions, claiming two golds and a silver medal, as the Irish gained the upper hand in the 128cm section.
