Tina Fletcher on flying form at New Forest Show

  • Tina Fletcher won New Forest and Hampshire County’s International Trial (24-25 July), beating both of Guy Williams’ rides in the three-horse jump-off.

Guy set an excellent target on his first ride, Quidam. Undeterred, Tina Fletcher set sail on Promised Land to finish nearly 2sec up. Guy gave it his all on Skip Two Ramiro but crossed the line 0.1sec behind.

Tina also finished second on Laura’s Choice in Tuesday’s Renault Jump class, which Peter Charles won on Murka’s Johnny Jumper.

Constant rain caused Thursday’s show jumping classes to be cancelled. The scheduled Pessoa young rider qualifier was moved to Bicester and Finmere Show, while the Horse of the Year Show Grade C will now take place at Addington.
