Team GB showjumping team manager Rob Hoekstra has announced the British quartet to contest the team competition at the FEI European Showjumping Championships (13-18 September) in Madrid.
The team is:
Ben Maher (Tripple X III)
Nick Skelton (Carlo)
John Whitaker (Peppermill)
Guy Williams (Titus II)
Scott Brash will ride Intertoy Z as an individual.
All horses passed the vet’s inspection and Rob Hoekstra said: “We are in scorching heat here of 35 degrees which will be testing for both horse and rider.
“The team are in great spirits and good health though; all are hoping to secure a win for Great Britain and looking forward to the challenge ahead”.
Irish team manager Robert Splaine has also announced the Irish team:

Nicola FitzGibbon (Puissance)
Denis Lynch (Lantinus)
Billy Twomey (Tinka’s Serenade)
