Rob Hoekstra is new British showjumping performance manager

  • Rob Hoekstra has been confirmed as the new performance manager for British Showjumping.

The news was announced at 12-noon today at the British Equestrian Federation HQ in Stoneleigh.

BEF performance director Will Connell told H&H: “He was the best man for the job and is not part of the British system so will be able give it a new purpose.

“He has coaching ability so will be able to help the developing riders, he knows the international scene and his communications and leadership skills mean he will be able to help the senior riders on their focussed plan for 2012.”

Dutch-born Mr Hoekstra is a British national and has ridden for Team GB. He won the Hickstead Derby in 1999.
