Pony European trials at Unex Towerlands

    • Zoe Adams and VIP Tixylix clinched a brilliant double in the pony European viewing trials at Unex Towerlands, winning both the speed leg and final trial.

    George Whitaker and Loobeen Shamrock finished second in Sunday’s speed leg. Third place went to Laura Neilson, riding Micklow Madness. Good clear rounds also came from Pippa Allen (Spot The Lady), James Smith (Mr Nice Guy), Rachel Connor (The Irish Builder), Jordan Whittaker (Edsilia), Trilbie Cook (Kadia Mouche) and Emma Stoker (Tick Tock Two Tone).

    The following day, Zoe and VIP Tixylix were again foot-perfect and produced the only double clear round. Just three went clear in the first round of the final trial, with Pippa Allen on Mr Bon Ami finishing second, ahead of Jordan Whittaker on Edsilia.

    Welsh rider Heledd Thomas won the opening trial on Dooly.
