Nick Skelton wins another class in Florida with Big Star


  • Nick Skelton’s phenomenal run of form continued at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, on Saturday (4 February) when he won the $80,000 ( £50,556) Adequan CSI** grand prix with Big Star.

    Nick and Beverley Widdowson’s Quick Star stallion beat a record 81 starters from 19 different countries.

    Then on Sunday, it was Scott Brash’s turn to take top honours with Whisky Mac in the $25,000 ( £15,798) Suncast 1.50m championship jumper classic.

    Ben Maher and Rowan were in second position and Tina Fletcher and Unique IX fourth.
