Lord Harris looks forward to the 2016 Olympic Games

  • Lord Harris, one of GB’s most loyal showjumping supporters and owner of Scott Brash‘s Hello Sanctos, is elated by Team GB’s success at the London 2012 Olympics and says he isn’t stopping yet.

“It’s taken me 40 years as an owner to win Olympic gold – it’s been a long time coming.

The best moment was when they played the National Anthem. I really felt we had achieved it then.

Our aim now is to make Scott the number one rider in the world, so we shall be trying to strengthen his team. You are going to see a very determined young man.

Rob Hoekstra is the man who deserves the credit for this medal. I told him 2 ½ years ago [when he started as team manager] we would win gold at this Olympics.

He is great and we need to keep him to help us in Rio. That’s our focus now. I’d love to have two horses on the team in Rio.”
