Jessica Kurten’s “medication” case to be referred to FEI Tribunal

  • The complete file on the positive medication case involving the horse Castle Forbes Maike ridden by Jessica Kurten (IRL) at CSI 5* La Baule in May 2007 has been forwarded to the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Tribunal.

The tribunal’s decision will be announced and published as soon as it is taken.

Two random samples taken from Castle Forbes Maike at Le Baule tested positive for a prohibited substance, a non-steroid anti-inflammatory drug.

Ms Kurten has always denied giving the drug — etoricoxib — to the horse.

The FEI Tribunal is composed of a chair and members with proven legal expertise and appropriate knowledge and experience of equestrian sport.

Members of the Tribunal are elected by the FEI General Assembly and are independent of the FEI bureau, technical committees and headquarters.
