James Davenport wins grand prix in Belgium

  • British show jumper James Davenport rode Martin Dawes’s For Fun into equal first place in the grand prix in the first show of Belgium’s Lummen Spring Tour last weekend.

Cheshire-based Davenport was one of 20 who made the jump-off, in which he and Swiss team rider Werner Muff (Pilot Blue) set exactly the same time.

As well as the E4,500 (£3,050) prize, James Davenport received an invitation to compete at Lummen’s Nations Cup show at the end of June.
