Farewell to… a popular personality within Scottish showjumping


  • Andrew Ballantyne, a popular personality within Scottish showjumping, died on 15 February. He was 79.

    Mr Ballantyne was a breeder, a respected judge and a member of British Showjumping (BS) for more than 40 years. He was also a great supporter of the Royal Highland Show.

    The Scottish branch of BS said his presence on the gates this year would be “greatly missed”.
