Call for Irish Paralympic riders

  • The Irish Paralympic Show Jumping Association is planning a one-day show at Clonshire Equestrian Centre on 29 October.

Secretary Heather Swedler told H&H: “We sent a representative to France last year, and will be sending several riders to Crockstead (venue of Britain’s first Para show jumping event) in August.”

The association currently has four members, including Mrs Swedler’s daughter, Trix, and is appealing for more interested disabled riders to come forward to join the association.

“People need to see this is an opportunity to ride for Ireland,” added Mrs Swedler.
