BSJA chief executive Jacky Wood to retire

  • British Show Jumping Association (BSJA) chief executive Jacky Wood will retire at the end of 2008 after more than 40 years with the association.

Jacky said: “I feel very lucky to have spent most of my working life within a sport that I feel so passionately about. I will still follow it closely, but will also have the time to enjoy my own horses and do all the things I’ve always promised myself I’d do upon retirement.”

Jacky’s only regret is that she will not be chief executive during the London 2012 Olympics, but intends to be present and has high expectations for the British team.

A recruitment campaign for the role is already underway. The BSJA aims to have Jacky’s successor in position this summer in preparation for the takeover at the end of the year.
