Britain’s veteran riders have clinched the 2006 Nations Cup. The four-strong team finished on a foot-perfect score of zero at the CSI-B-V in Dijon-Bonvaux, France last weekend.
The team consisted of Pat Crann, Mandy McGlynn, Jennifer Patty and Liz Howes, all of whom are 45-years-old or older. Germany finished in second place and Belgium in third.
“This is a fantastic result from our not-too-senior ladies,” said British team manager Derek Ricketts. “It confirms the point made in Liz Benwell’s article (H&H 6 April). I hope that our super league team can emulate their performance.”
