The latest Whitaker to join the great showjumping dynasty arrived on Saturday, 6 April, when Robert Whitaker’s partner Kate Jackaman gave birth to baby Evie.
The first granddaughter for John and Clare Whitaker arrived at 5.25pm, weighing 6lb 13oz.
“She arrived on Grand National day,” said Robert, 30, who admitted to being a very proud father. “Both are at home now and Evie slept well last night.”
Robert’s cousin William Whitaker celebrated the birth of his first child a year ago with girlfriend Elisabeth Fredlund — baby Isabella was the first of this new generation of Whitakers.
