Five things you didn’t know…
He was bred by Mr and Mrs Oliver Flanagan, who live in Co Mayo, Ireland.
He is the only hunter Loraine has campaigned as an open horse in his four-year-old year. He was exceptional, winning major shows – including standing champion hunter at Bramham – and qualifying for the Royal International (RIHS) and Horse of the Year Show (HOYS).
He is a fair-weather fellow, so if it is a cold and windy day we don’t usually ride him.
I broke him in November 2008 and he won his first class in March 2009 – the novice heavyweight indoors at Addington Manor EC.
As a four-year-old, we had several lessons with dressage supremo Emile Faurie, who thought he was a fabulous prospect.
