  • New Forest ponies are to get stand-alone Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) qualifiers for the 2013 show.

HOYS will be running eight specific New Forest qualifiers, split from the Connemaras, against whom they usually compete. Both breeds will be judged as a combined class in the final at HOYS.

Mountain and moorland working hunter pony classes will be split into four height divisions for the 2013 qualifiers.

    These are: 122cm, 133cm, 143cm and over 143cm.
