Showman Robert Walker suffers stroke but is recovering well


  • Top showing competitor Robert Walker is recovering in hospital after suffering a stroke.

    The 35-year-old Cheshire-based rider fell ill at 4am on Saturday morning (14 June) but is recovering well and issued a statement earlier today (Monday 14 June).

    He said: “This has been a big lesson for us all — a stroke can happen to anyone, at anytime.
    “I would like to thank everyone, especially my owners, for their good wishes and support at this tricky time.

    “I would also like to add, watch out — I’ll be back.”

    Mr Walker hopes to be well enough go to Cheshire County Show (22-23 June).
