It has been confirmed that the SEIB Search for a Star Steward Competition will run again this year.
The aim of the competition is to not only find show stewards for the future, but also to recognise and reward the efforts of these volunteers who are essential for the running of shows all over the country.
It is open to anyone who enjoys helping out at horse shows and is interested in stewarding at the top level.
Shortlisted stewards will then invited to help at one of the SEIB Search for a Star qualifiers from which a winner will be selected.
The winner of the competition will spend a week working along the distinguished stewarding team at the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS), with travel expenses, accommodation and meals covered.
They will also win six tickets for family and friends on the Wednesday of HOYS.
Last years winner Tracy Mason said: “It has been a fantastic experience and I have learnt so much.
“The team have been brilliant and I am delighted to have been given this opportunity.
“We have been looked after so well and I have met some incredible people. – it was surreal when I recognised the voice of the person standing next to me as that of commentator, Mike Tucker!”
