‘Festival of the Horse’ replaces The Royal Show

  • The Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE) is to hold a “Festival of the Horse” in place of the Royal Show, which folds this year.

The festival will be held from 9-11 July 2010 and was announced as H&H went to press on Monday.

Organisers say the new event will feature all the equine classes from the Royal Show, plus a number of new attractions that will make the festival “an all-encompassing equine extravaganza”.

“Staging a specialist event will give us so much more scope,” said RASE equine manager Sarah Deeming.
