Arson attack rider qualifies for Horse of the Year Show

  • A rider who suffered an horrific arson attack on her stables has thanked everyone who helped in the aftermath, following her Arab’s qualification for the Horse of the Year Show.

People from all over the UK donated rugs, money, feed and tack to Vicky Marsh when she lost four horses in a fire at her stables in Bolton near Manchester in February 2009.

Three horses survived, including Merlin (El Sahir), who Vicky last month qualified for the Hutchinsons Staff Ridden Arab Gelding of the Year.

She said: “To all the people who helped, this journey to HOYS is for you.”
