I found this rug durable, fully waterproof, warm and great value for money
My mare is notorious for ripping rugs, but this model has stayed intact all winter! The 1,680 dernier fabric is really tough and all the clips and fastenings are robust.
The rug is fully waterproof despite the ongoing wet weather and also really breathable. The nylon lining has left her coat really shiny and her mane flat, but intact, unlike so many other rugs which ruin manes.
I tested a 6′ rug. This fitted my cobby horse well, who is broad around the shoulders, so it could be a bit too bulky on a lightweight. The tail flap gave aple coverage and the 350g ensured she stayed snug (so much so that I often opted for a lighter alternative).
I always prefer rugs with detachable neck covers, so this was a bonus. The neck cover was roomy but not creeping over my horses ears like some do. The velcro fastenings were sturdy and easy to fasten. The front clip closures also made putting on and taking off the rug really easy.
The colour isn’t the most eye-catching but the relfective tabs are a useful addition.
For £54.99 (the rug has been reduced from £74.99) I think the rug offers excellent value for money. A great winter staple.
