Our reviewer found this to be a smart, practical top, out-performing other half-zip items worn in the past
This micro fleece was smart and fitted well. It had a half-zip and great styling along the sleeves and down the front.
Other micro fleeces I have owned have been rather shapeless objects but this certainly did not fall into that category.
The size seemed to me to be spot on. It came in navy with a green trim on the cuffs.
On first impression I thought it was quite lightweight and would only work well as a layer under other coats etc but it proved surprisingly warm and great to wear on its own, as well as when layered with a gillet.
There is a pocket in the sleeve, which was stylish but I could not envisage using this while riding as if you used it for a phone it would weigh the sleeve down as the fleece is quite lightweight. Possibly it is for a lift pass if using the fleece for skiing.
The fleece was extremely warm for its weight. Also it did not get soggy or wet when soaked by a shower. I particularly liked the length of sleeves which were long enough to come down over the cuffs of my gloves so there was no cold gap. It was also nice and long in the back so again, it kept me nice and snug.
This fleece seemed to me a very versatile piece of kit as I could envisage using it in the winter and in the summer. I would certainly recommend it to a friend.
Verdict
Overall a warm, well-fitted, versatile piece of clothing
