Work rider in California dies after racehorse falls on him


  • An work rider in America has died after a racehorse landed on him.

    58-year-old Ignacio Ramirez was killed when the 4-year-old filly Diamond Notebook spooked and flipped over during exercise on Sunday (16 November).

    The pair had just left the barn area at Golden Gate Fields and were heading to the racetrack at about 6am.

    He was pronounced dead at the scene. Diamond Notebook was unhurt.

    Mr Ramirez had worked at Golden Gate Fields in California for 30 years.
