Racehorse trainer Michael Jarvis retires from Flat racing


  • Flat trainer Michael Jarvis has retired due to ill health following a 43-year career.

    Assistant trainer Roger Varian will take over Kremlin House Stables in Newmarket and Neil Callan is to be retained jockey.

    Mr Jarvis’s most notable winners include Carroll House, winner of the 1989 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Oaks winner Eswarah, and 1000 Guineas winner Ameerat.
