National hunt hero Desert Orchid will welcome his fans at the Malton racing annual open day this weekend
Desert Orchid will be one of the star attractions at the Malton Racing Annual Open Day on Sunday 25 August.
Dessie was the famous grey who jumped his way into the nation’s hearts and won some of the most prestigious titles in national hunt racing.

The open day provides the public with a chance to see behind the scenes of racing’s top yards and gives an insight on what goes on in the world of racing.
It also gives visitors with the opportunity to talk to trainers and speciliaists in subjects such as equine swimming and farriery.
Organiser Rosemary Carter said: “It has become a hugely popular day out and is a great way of generating public interest in the sport.”
