Grand National-winning jockey Graham Lee is to ride on the Flat from next month.

Lee hasn’t ridden in a race since he injured his hip in a fall at Southwell in February. On his return at the end of April, he intends to switch codes.

Lee, who won the 2004 Grand National on Amberleigh House and the 2005 World Hurdle on Inglis Drever, said lower weights should not be a problem as he’s struggled to keep weight on since returning home from hospital five weeks ago.

He now tips the scales at 8st 12lb.
