The Queen’s most memorable racing moments will be showcased in an exhibition touring British racecourses and venues this summer.
The exhibition entitled “All The Queen’s horses” celebrates Her Majesty’s life-long interest in horse racing and photos of many of her most famous winners.
The display contains over 50 images, including rarely seen snapshots of the then Princess Elizabeth at the races with the Queen Mother.
More informal moments of The Queen chatting with jockeys and trainers will also be displayed.
The exhibition was unveiled at Sandown Park on 27 April and will travel to other racecourses around the country.
The Investec Derby at Epsom Downs on Saturday 2 June will give racegoers the chance to view the exhibition on the same day The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations begin.
A new book, published to coincide with The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, will also contain many of the photographs on display.
The book is entitled “Her Majesty’s Pleasure: How Horseracing Enthrals The Queen”, by racing journalist Julian Muscat.
