Find out which horse was not presented at the final trot-up at Bicton Horse Trials and what his rider said
Five horses were held in the senior CCI4*-L at the Bicton Horse Trials final trot-up this morning (13 June) and one in the under-25 section, as the event supported by Chedington wraps up.
The horses who were held in the Chedington CCI4*-L were Peter Appleford and John Bevan’s HHS Leacourt Cavalier (42nd overnight, ridden by Charlotte Rowe), Elisabeth Murdoch’s Lates Quin (ridden by Bill Levett, 38th overnight), Dickon Reader’s Ferdi II (40th overnight, ridden by his owner), Diana Wethered’s Carryon Bobby Boy (26th overnight, ridden by Julia Norman) and Andrew Downes and Nicholas Moss’s Rocquaine Bay (27th overnight, ridden by Andrew Downes).
All five riders brought the horses back for reinspection and all were then passed by the ground jury, consisting of Christian Landolt, Tim Downes and Annabel Scrimgeour.
Tom McEwen withdrew Barbara Cooper’s Dreamaway before the inspection. He had 3.6 time-faults yesterday and was in ninth place.
“He’s just a bit too sore to come out so we’re doing the right thing for the horse,” said Tom.
The senior CCI4*-L showjumping gets underway at 10am, with overnight leader Nicola Wilson scheduled to jump JL Dublin at 12.06pm.
Bicton Horse Trials final trot-up: under-25s

The showjumping for the under-25 section commences at 1pm. Bubby Upton showjumps cross-country leader Cola III at 2.03pm. She also lies second on Cannavaro, who jumps out of order at 1.33pm.
The cross-country for the CCI4*-S, the final phase of this section which showjumped yesterday, also starts at 10am. Tom McEwen leads this section on Toledo De Kerser.
