How to get there
Signed off the A904. There will be a dedicated route for access to the horsebox parking.
What the organisers say
The sponsor is Gillespie Macandrew LLP.
The CCI cross-country courses will follow a similar route to 2014. Slight changes to the CIC3* track will be made to avoid the course crossing at the top of the hill.
The CIC* and CIC2* tracks will run through the garden this year, with the start and finish in similar places to the CCI tracks in 2014.
The showjumping for all classes will take place on the West Lawn, as requested by riders. The dressage will take place in the Deer Park, with a new arena in the centre of tradestands.
The stabling and box park will move outside the Deer Park to ensure more room for rider warm-ups on better ground.
What the riders say
Dressage & showjumping — “Not a lot of space for the dressage warm-up.” “Arenas are sometimes laid out beside entry to the field which can be distracting [see organisers’ comments].” “Good warm-up for the showjumping which is held in a flat arena.”
Cross-country — “The start box is located at the top of the hill, and access is difficult for spectators and the disabled.” “The actual course is fantastic — a true test at all levels.” “The ground was well prepared.”
