Youths plead not guilty to killing two Shetland ponies


  • Two teenagers have pleaded not guilty to causing the deaths of two Shetland ponies in Whitchurch, Shropshire.

    The boys, aged 13 and 18, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Shrewsbury magistrates court on 4 July.

    They are alleged to have shot ponies Bill and Ben in a field at a nursing home on 4 May.

    The case has been committed to Shrewsbury crown court but a date is yet to be set.
