Young endurance riders prepare for European Championships


  • A training and assessment weekend has been organised at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire for the 17-strong British Young Riders endurance squad.

    The two-day programme (9-10 June), which isdesigned to help prepare the team for the 2001 European Championships, will include blood testing, scoping and exercise testing for the horses. The riders will undertake fitness tests, team building exercises and workshops.

    The programme will also include a series of lectures and workshops with contributions from Rod Fisher, Kieren O’Brien, Dr Catherine Dunnett and Claire Barrey.
