A woman killed in a freak farm accident is believed to have been hit by a bale she was unlodging to feed her horse.
Charlotte Louise Conroy-Taylor, 45, of Brookhouse, Lancashire, was found on a barn floor by her 12-year-old daughter, Zara. The mother had broken her neck.
She was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary but was pronounced dead on arrival (31 May).
The accident occurred at Beamount Grange Farm, Slyne-with-Hest, where Mrs Conroy-Taylor kept her horse. A post-mortem has been carried out, but the exact cause of her death will not be released until and inquest is held later this year.
The police and health and safety executive have ruled it to be a “tragic accident”. No further investigations will be made.
