Fans of the West End show War Horse will be thrilled to hear that lead character Joey will star at Olympia this year.
Joey and a group of War Horse cast members will travel to the show (14-20 December) to perform a scene from the play in Olympia’s famous Christmas Finale, which takes place at the end of every performance.
In Nick Stafford’s adaption of Michael Morpurgo’s book War Horse, actors operate life-sized puppets.
The play tells of the extraordinary bond between young Albert Narracott and his horse Joey, set against the backdrop of World War One.
Izzy Hatton, associate producer of the Olympia finale says: “War Horse will be taking the audience on an emotional journey, from the perils of war, to the Christmas that every soldier dreams of. We are absolutely delighted to have War Horse and its magnificent cast and puppets at Olympia. This year’s finale will be very special indeed.”
