  • Take a look at every fence on the CCI3* cross-country course at the Equi-Trek Bramham Horse Trials 2014, designed by Ian Stark.

    Some key scalps the course claimed included Pippa Funnell, who had a run-out at the first corner at the Speedi-Beat Double Feat (19a) and then fell at the alternative with Or Noir De La Loge. And Mark Todd had a run-out at the triple brush arrowhead at the Equi-Trek Round House (6b) with Amacuzzi (5th) and a fall when NZB Campino (4th) stopped at the upright rail into the Woodheads Seeds Hollow at 13.

This year’s course was designed by Giuseppe della Chiesa, who introduced a number of new fences. Two fences were removed from the course due to the conditions.

     

    Walk the RIHS intermediate working hunter course at Hickstead 2014

    img_0059Here are pictures of the fences that intermediate working hunter competitors faced at the Royal International Horse Show (RIHS) in ring 5 on Sunday 3 August. As you will see, the fences are quite unusual and incorporate replicas of those found in the famous main arena at Hickstead, including banks and ditches. The class was won by Jasean Sprggett riding Mrs Melanie Banks-Browne’s Kidside Ferguson.
