Gerard Long from Co. Tipperary, sustained a fatal injury while looking at a mare near Fethard at around 11am.

The father of 3 was later pronounced dead at South Tipperary General Hospital.

Tributes have poured in for the 61-year-old with people describing him as a “lovely man” and “one of the good ones”.
