Valuable tack stolen in Suffolk

  • Thieves have got away with around £15,000 worth of tack from the saddlery at Linkwood Equestrian Centre, near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk.

The haul included 11 new saddles, mainly Stubben, and a number of new bridles.

The saddlery’s owner, Chris Cooper, who was not insured, said the fuse had been taken out of the alarm.

Police believe the thieves used a van or lorry to get away with the load.

Anyone with information on the break-in, which happened between 11.30pm on Monday (16 April) and 7am on Tuesday (17 April) , should contact police (tel: 01284 774100).
