Olympic gold medal winner Tripple X III sold

  • Ben Maher’s Olympic gold medal-winning partner Tripple X III has been sold, as part of an ongoing legal wrangle between the showjumper and the horse’s co-owners, Ben’s long-term backers Emma and Mike Phillips.

A sale for the 12-year-old stallion was agreed last week (16 April). Due to an ongoing dispute between Ben and his long term backers, Mike and Emma Phillips, the sale agreement was settled after a court hearing.

Today (Wednesday 23 April) Ben’s groom Daley Fisher wrote on social media: “Sad day today I had to say good bye to a special horse Tripple X. We won many grand prixs and of course a gold medal thanks for all them great memories, I wish you luck in your new home.”
