The Horse Trust launches rehoming scheme for retired horses

  • The Horse Trust has launched a rehoming scheme for the first time in its 123-year history in response to demand from horse owners affected by the credit crunch.

The charity has been overwhelmed with horses donated by desperate owners and say they are running out of room.

The new scheme will rehome retired horses from any background that are unsuitable to be ridden.
