Team GB’s medal-winning Olympic and Paralympic riders will be among the 800 athletes taking part in a victory parade through central London on Monday, 11 September.
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to line the route of the parade, from Mansion House, in the City of London, to Buckingham Palace.
All our Olympic dressage riders and eventers will be on board the floats, alongside our Paralympic riders, and the showjumpers are flying back from the Masters at Spruce Meadows in Calgary, Canada in order to take part.
Claire Shand from the British Equestrian Federation told H&H: “Scott Brash doesn’t land from Calgary in time to be on a float, but he will be a ticketed guest in the VIP area.
“Britain’s riders will be sharing a float with the Olympic divers,” she added.
This was our most successful Olympic equestrian team ever. Team GB’s dressage riders secured an historic team gold, with individual gold for Charlotte Dujardin. Our showjumpers won the first team gold since 1952, while Team GB’s eventers took team silver.
Britain’s para riders maintained their 100 per cent record of team gold at the Games. Sophie Christiansen added individual and freestyle gold medals to her tally, while Natasha Baker won two gold medals. For the first time, Britain fielded riders in all five categories, winning medals in each section.
The parade starts at 1.30pm and is an unticketed event.
