Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme

  • Applications are being invited for this year’s Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), a government-funded multi-million pound scheme aimed at assisting Britain’s most promising athletes.

TASS, working in partnership with the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) for the fourth year, provides training funds and support, fitness and lifestyle support and an academic mentor.

A BEF spokesman said: “TASS offers financial assistance and also the confidence and status of being formally recognised by the national governing body and UK Sport as a talented individual with a bright future.”

TASS is open to riders in education, aged between 15 and 25 in the three Olympic disciplines of show jumping, eventing and dressage, and Para dressage.

The closing date for applications is 31 July 2007. For more information and application forms visit www.bef.co.uk
