Two people have died following a crash between a car and a horse box on Boxing Day (Saturday, 26 December).
The collision happened at about 2.30pm on the A436 between Stow on the Wold and Chipping Norton in Gloucestershire.
The driver of the black Kia car and a female passenger in the same vehicle both died at the scene.
Their next of kin have been informed.
A horse was also injured in the accident.
The A436 and Sheep Street were shut following the crash while the vehicles were recovered.
“Two people have sadly died after a collision on the A436 in Stow on the Wold,” Gloucestershire Constabulary tweeted.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to call 101 with information, quoting incident 161 of 26 December.
