Stallion parade to be held at Blair Castle Horse Trials again this year

  • Blair Castle Horse Trials (23-26 August) will be hosting a stallion parade for the third year running this summer.

Two parades will take place in the main arena during the dressage lunch intervals, with the sport horses on Thursday 23 August and the native breeds on Friday 24 August.

“We were really pleased with the quality of stallions that travelled to Blair for last year’s parade and I am very much looking forward to seeing more top class animals on display this year,” said assistant event director Hannah Wilkins.

The parades are an opportunity to showcase stallions in front of potential customers and mare owners.

There is no entry fee for the parades but numbers on each day are limited. Preference will be given to stallions based on their own and their progeny’s competition records.

Last year’s parade included Irish sports horse King Cotton Gold, thoroughbred Bollin Terry and Irish Draught ClassicScott.
