Silver medal for British reiner

  • Britain’s Rosanne Sternberg took the individual silver medal at the inaugural FEI European Reining Championship held at Reggio Emilia, in Italy, last weekend.

Riding her own 14-year-old Quarter Horse stallion, Nijomi Sonny Reb, Rosanne scored 220.5 to head the second round and secure the silver medal. Germany’s Alexander Ripper and Solanos Warnee Boy took gold, with Marco Ricotta and Millennium bronze medallists.

The team competition was won by Germany, with Italy second and Switzerland third. Britain’s squad of Francesca Sternberg, Rosanne Sternberg, Doug Allen and Susannah Anderson finished fourth, just half a point behind Switzerland.
