Showjumper operated on after heavy fall

  • Denis Lynch’s top mare Coulisa is reported to be back on her feet following an operation on Monday.

The pair suffered a heavy fall in the Rotterdam grand prix on Sunday. Denis’s brother Shay claimed the surgery to be “very successful”.

“It’s very early days,” he said. “But the first signs are very positive.”

Coulisa is expected to travel back to Lynch’s stables in Germany for a 4 to 8 month recuperation period.
