Scott Brash wins Global Champions Tour

  • Birthday boy Scott Brash was crowned the overall winner of the 2013 Longines Global Champions Tour at the series finale in Doha, Qatar, on Saturday night (23 November).

Great Britain’s reigning European and Olympic team gold medallist also came out top in the grand prix with the Harrises’ and Kirkhams’ gelding Hello Sanctos, collecting a mindblowing €443,000 in total prize-money.

“It couldn’t be a better day for me,” said the 28-year-old, the youngest winner of this prestigious tour.

He pushed Germany’s Christian Ahlmann into 2nd place and Laura Kraut of USA, who came into the final leg as the tour leader, into 3rd on the podium.
